日野町のいえ
滋賀県蒲生郡日野町の住宅。
敷地はかつて商人街道として栄えた民家が高密度に並ぶエリアとその周辺に広がる田畑のちょうど境界に位置している。古くからの街並みの細い路地を抜けると突然視界が開き、広々とした田畑と比較的新しい住宅がぽつぽつと点在する風景が広がる。
この計画ではこの密度の違いを緩やかにつなげていく中間領域としてのあり方を考え、周辺環境に合わせていくつかの屋外スペースをつくることからはじめた。
密集した南側のエリアに面しては路地のスケールに合わせてやや小ぶりで奥行きの浅いスペース、田畑に面してはより大ぶりで奥行きの浅いスペース、隣接する母屋には緩やかに囲われた中庭のようなスペースをつくっている。
いくつかの屋外スペースを生み出すように建物を配置した結果、枝分かれして屈曲しながら細長く伸び、室内はひとつながりの空間となっていると同時にそれぞれの屋外スペースに対して開かれている

House in Hino-cho
Shiga Prefecture.
The Site is located just out of historical merchant area. It is bounded by the area crowded with old houses on the south, wide open field on the north and parents’ house of client on the south west.
We created this space as the intermediate space for the difference of the density.
First, we planed several outdoor spaces in reference to those environments.
The outdoor spaces are small comfortable space which is like a part of the alley facing to the high density area, wide open space facing to fields and a private open space facing to the parents’ house. Those outdoor spaces connect the difference between density gradually.
As a result of planing the outdoor spaces,the rest of spaces become residence which is curved and branched.
Interior space is opened to each outdoor spaces,and impenetrable continuous spaces is created by the curve. There are various spaces in one room.
